12 volt swing axle freeway flyer fits 1961 to 1967 bug and ghia, we use a 3.88 ring and pinion and .89 4th gear to increase your vw's cruising speed, approximately 70 mph @ 3200 rpm with stock tires, this transaxle features 12 volt starter bushing and 200mm flywheel bellhousing sizing, this unit is the center section only, you will reuse all your axle and tube parts, rebuilt transaxle includes rebushed gear carrier, new mainshaft bearing, new pinion and differential bearings, new syncros, sand blasted cases, new hardware and seals, includes a 5 year unlimited mile warranty, (does not cover abuse, breakage, or shipping) priced outright/core charge included, will fit bug and ghia, can fit type 3 with type 3 single hole hockey stick, 1960 and earlier will require a special bus nosecone and hockey stick for an added cost, we can custom build anything you need FAST!, 6 volt and IRS also available, core included in price, please message with any questions
