    Description

    MUSEUM QUALITY ANTIQUE VICTORIAN late 1800s Black Silk Mourning 4-piece. This includes a bodice, dickie, skirt, and petticoat. All 4 pieces are in amazing condition. I've noted the few flaws in the pictures I've provided: there is faint underarm stains on both sleeves, some slight fraying near the collar of the dickie, some fraying on the waistband and hem of the silk skirt, and a few small holes (moth holes?) on the petticoat (near the waistband). The cotton lining on the bodice also shows signs of age (from being washed probably).
    The bodice, dickie and skirt are black silk. The skirt has ruffles and a velvet hem; it is longer in the back; it needs a bustle!  The petticoat is silk taffeta, I believe. It has gorgeous smocking from mid-skirt to the hem.
    These pieces were very well preserved and in beautiful antique condition regardless of its minor flaws. Please reach out with any questions you may have. I can also provide additional pictures.I will ship via USPS Priority in a large flat rate box.
