1950s Morgan's Black Lace Audrey Hepburn Style Cocktail Dress Size 2/4

Such a fantastic dress! They just don't make clothes like this anymore. The attention to detail is phenomenal, with snaps in all the right spots to keep things in place. For instance, the bow in the back of the dress at the waist is sewn on one side, and has two snaps on the other to make sure the bow lies flat once the dress has been zipped up. The dress is made of two layers: the outside is delicate lace, and the inside layer is a heavier tafetta-like fabric. The layers are joined at the shoulders, the waist and the hem. The inside lining has a zip closure while the lace bodice is buttoned up. The style is very Audrey Hepburn, simple yet elegant! This is just a classic, timeless piece. I can't say exactly what the fabric is but I am assuming synthetics of some kind, perhaps nylon and rayon. The label says Morgan's, which was the precursor of The Bay.
